Born in Winnipeg MB, she is daughter of a school teacher and an environment officer. The youngest of two girls, she was raised more like a tomboy and loved playing hockey and fishing.  When shoulder surgery postponed her scholarship for hockey by a year, her mother suggested she take classes part time at the University of Winnipeg during her rehabilitation year. Thinking it would be an easy average booster, she took theatre and was hooked after a class report on 'Chorus Line' required an outing to her first musical.She began singing and dancing at age 20, and was scouted by a prof who was also the stunt coordinator in all local film and tv productions. She soon landed on local stages and screens in the Winnipeg Arts Community. She caught the attention of Canada's funny man Mark Mckinney while casting HBO/Audience Network Series 'LESS THAN KIND' for which she went on to be nominated for a Gemini for Best Comedy Performance by an Individual in a Comedy Series.
